MyWeathers Personal MicroCast© Takes Off at Gannett-Owned WMAZ-TV

Viewers Rush To Sign Up For Hyper-Local, Address-Specific Weather Forecasts and Severe Weather Alerts from New Chief Meteorologist

Madison, Wis., May 26, 2005 -- MyWeather, the leader in client-branded web weather solutions for the media industry, has launched market-exclusive Personal MicroCast© at WMAZ-TV/Macon, GA, a Gannett-owned station. WMAZ has branded the service 13WMAZ CustomCast and can now promote its new chief meteorologist by providing a free, full-featured online weather service to viewers. Patented technology used in 13WMAZ CustomCast creates ultra-accurate, hour-by-hour forecasts for any pinpoint in North America.

"With 13WMAZ CustomCast, we can push life-saving weather information to more than just the segment of viewers in front of their televisions," said Don McGouirk, President and General Manager of WMAZ. "By serving viewers one-on-one, we're furthering our commitment to public safety, and that puts us a step ahead of the competition."

Viewers using 13WMAZ CustomCast access weather information that helps plan their day and keeps their families safe during severe weather. Customized forecast pages contain a daily message from newly promoted chief meteorologist, Ben Jones, next to hour-by-hour forecasts for viewer-specified locations. Viewers also receive customized severe weather alerts based on their criteria, such as location and type of weather event. They can also choose how to receive those alerts, via e-mail, wireless device or desktop icon.

"WMAZ has done an excellent job customizing Personal MicroCast into 13WMAZ CustomCast," said Kevin Baird, President of MyWeather, LLC." They have already shown great success in a short amount of time, gaining over 2500 subscribers in just four days--incredible momentum!"

13WMAZ CustomCast will soon be followed by MyWeather's Live Online™, a station-branded desktop application that delivers breaking news and weather alerts to viewer computer screens. Live Online extends television's reach throughout the day, including viewer contact at work and play.
