Integrates Traffic and Weather Information
New Joint Venture Between MyWeather and TrafficCast Announced
Madison, WI, and Shanghai, China, January 17, 2006 -- TrafficCast, Inc., TrafficCast China, and MyWeather LLC, a Weather Central, Inc. sister company - the leading content providers of personalized traffic and weather information systems - today announced their new joint venture as well as the launch of "RouteCast™" technology to power innovative travel solutions in the United States and China.
"RouteCast™" is patent-pending technology integrating real-time traffic flow, incidents such as accident sites and road construction, and predictive travel times with MicroCast™, the world's most precise, patented micro-weather forecasting system. This new technology will enable media organizations to offer highly precise and uniquely integrated traffic and weather forecast products to viewers, readers, and listeners, with related interactive and mobile applications available for associated web sites and mobile platforms.
